Andy Durland is a dedicated and results-driven attorney at The Blankenship Law Firm, where he focuses on representing clients in complex employment and litigation matters. Before joining The Blankenship Law Firm, Andy was a litigation associate at a downtown Seattle law firm, where he represented clients ranging from large corporations to closely held businesses and individuals. His work spanned a variety of practice areas, including business, employment, contract, and personal injury litigation. Repeatedly recognized as a Washington Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” Andy’s experience as both plaintiff and defense counsel offers valuable perspective and enhances his ability to anticipate and effectively counter opposing strategies.
Andy earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Washington School of Law and has been licensed to practice in Washington since 2015. During law school, he served as Managing Editor of the Washington Law Review and externed for former Washington State Supreme Court Justice Charles K. Wiggins.
Prior to law school, Andy served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica, where he developed after-school programs for at-risk youth in rural communities. He also worked as a bilingual legal assistant at a Bellevue bankruptcy firm. Fluent in Spanish, Andy has frequently served as a legal interpreter—skills that strengthen his ability to advocate for a diverse range of clients.

- Represented national pharmaceutical manufacturer in multiple state and federal lawsuits involving claims of negligence, public nuisance, consumer protection act violations, and improper marketing of FDA-approved medications.
- Advocated for closely held family business in a commercial insurance dispute involving a building collapse, successfully litigating issues of policy ambiguity and helping establish new precedent in Washington insurance law: Feenix Parkside, LLC v. Berkley N. Pac., 8 Wn. App. 2d 381 (2019).
- Secured seven-figure settlement at mediation for small business owners in a coverage dispute involving water damage to the clients’ commercial property.
- Represented class of Kona coffee farmers in nationwide class action involving trademark violations and product mislabeling.
