Lorcan Malone is an attorney at The Blankenship Law Firm. He counsels clients with compassion and zealously prosecutes their cases guided by these foundational tenets: that the driving force in his cases are the clients’ stated interests, and that his duty is to navigate a path to achieve those interests.
His practice primarily involves representation of clients facing factually and legally complex instances of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation; wrongful terminations; constructive discharges; and/or other adverse actions arising from their employers’ exploitation of their employment relationships. Additionally, he represents classes of clients injured by the same actor, where a dispute involves a class action; clients catastrophically hurt by the negligence of another, where a personal injury has irreparably changed a client’s quality of life; and clients harmed by the intentional or negligent acts or omissions of a person and/or their employer, such as representing victims of abuse, assault, and of neglect in institutions where they are oftentimes powerless.
Lorcan has significant experience representing clients as plaintiffs, in his previous role as a personal injury attorney, and as defendants, from his previous role as a criminal defense attorney. Consequently, he can predict probable defense responses in his cases based on the evidence they will leverage, and the legal theories they will employ.
During his career, Lorcan has brought scores of cases to jury verdict; he has brought approximately 100 cases to bench trial, mediation, or other alternative dispute resolution hearing; he has litigated approximately a dozen cases on appeal; and he has argued countless motions.
Lorcan earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law with the hope that he would protect the rights of workers and employees. During law school, he completed the specialized track of courses in Labor and Employment Law. He has been licensed to practice law in Washington Courts for the past decade; he is also licensed to practice in Federal Court.
Lorcan lives in Sammamish with his wife and two young sons. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and exercising.
