Rick focuses his practice on complex litigation, primarily employment law claims. Since joining The Blankenship Law Firm in 2010, Rick has helped successfully litigate numerous six and seven figure results in employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation cases. Rick has been named a Rising Star by Washington Super Lawyers every year from 2013 through 2017. He is committed to protecting the rights of individuals and promoting justice by vigorously advocating on behalf of his clients.
Rick earned his law degree from Seattle University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. Following law school Rick served as a law clerk to the Honorable Tom Chambers of the Washington State Supreme Court. During his clerkship, Rick worked on a wide range of complex cases and legal issues, making recommendations to the court and helping draft high-quality judicial opinions.
Rick is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, as well as the Washington Employment Lawyers Association (WELA). He is admitted to practice in Washington, the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
