Paul S. Woods
Paul earned his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law where he graduated with honors, in the top 10% of his class. During law school, Paul served on the Washington Law Review for one year. He also served on University of Washington Moot Court Honor Board, where Paul won multiple speaking awards and co-chaired the 2009 Mock Trial Competition. Paul’s honors in law school included receiving CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Advanced Constitutional Law, Advanced Civil Procedure, and Conflicts of Law. During his time in law school, Paul worked as a public defender at the Washington Appellate Project and Snohomish County Public Defender Association, advocating for clients at every level of the court system, including at trial courts, appellate courts, and in post-appellate proceedings. During this time, Paul presented a Continuing Legal Education seminar on the Sixth Amendment right to confront one's accusers in a criminal trial. He also served as a member of the Innocence Project Northwest and the Street Youth Legal Advocates of Washington student organization.
